Burns' Night 2025
Burns' Week 2025 will take place Wednesday 22 – Tuesday 28 January 2025, with Burns' Night itself falling on Saturday 25 January 2025.
It is a celebration of the life and work of the Scottish poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796), the author of many Scots poems.
The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, 25 January, known as Burns' Night, and are held all around the world.
The supper starts with the soup course, followed by a main course of haggis, mashed potatoes (tatties) and swede turnip (neeps).
Quirks include the "Address to the Haggis" before the meal, and a friendly singalong of "Auld Lang Syne" to bring the meal to and end.
