Cambridge Fireworks Night returns with a bang

Get ready, Cambridge! The skies above Midsummer Common are set to ignite on Tuesday 5th November as Cambridge Fireworks Night makes its spectacular return.

As one of the largest free displays in the region, this year's event promises more excitement and entertainment than ever before - and Star Radio's thrilled to be part of the action!

A night packed with excitement

6:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Food stalls open
Kick off your evening with a mouth-watering array of street food. From classic favourites to exotic treats, there's something to satisfy every palate. So come hungry and enjoy the festive flavours!

6:00 PM – 6:45 PM: Spark! performance
We're ecstatic to introduce Spark! to this year's lineup. This mesmerising street theatre show combines high-energy drumming with dazzling kaleidoscopic lighting. Their performances are a feast for the senses that you won't want to miss!

6:00 PM – 6:55 PM: Live DJ set by Star Radio's Josh Lovatt
Feel the beat with Josh Lovatt, Star Radio's very own drivetime presenter. Josh will be spinning the decks, bringing you the hottest tracks to get the party started. It's the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable night.

7:00 PM: The grand fireworks display
As the clock strikes seven, the sky will erupt in a symphony of colour and light. Crafted by the multi-award-winning Pains Fireworks, this year's display is set to be the biggest and best yet. "We will fill the sky with more fireworks than ever before!" promises Tom Cranmer from Pains.

7:20 PM – 8:00 PM: Spark! performance
Enjoy a second, explosive performance from Spark! straight after the fireworks display.

7:20 PM – 8:30 PM: Music from funk & soul DJ Chris Brown
Keep the energy soaring post-fireworks with an electrifying set from Funk & Soul DJ Chris Brown. Dance the night away as he spins a mix of classic grooves and modern hits.

Getting there

With thousands expected to attend, we recommend:

🚗 Arriving early to enjoy the food stalls and find a good spot to watch the fireworks
🚌 Using Public Transport: Additional Park & Ride services will be available
🚶‍♀️ Walking or Cycling: Avoid the traffic and enjoy the fresh evening air
