Huntingdon Christmas Lights and Market

The magic of the Yuletide season comes to Huntingdon! From Friday 22nd November to Sunday 24th November, the town will be transformed into a wondrous winter scene as Huntingdon’s Traditional Christmas Market fills the market square, with the switch on hosted by Star Radio's Josh Lovatt.

Father Christmas and his helpers will grace the town with their presence, spreading cheer and joy throughout the land. The Market Square will be decked with a plethora of Christmas Chalets, from gifts to food and drink, all to bring forth the spirit of Christmas. This all comes with a wide variety of Christmas entertainment, music, and merriment, brought to you by Huntingdon Town Council. Whether you’re looking for the perfect stocking fillers, gifts for the whole family, or simply want to enjoy the ambiance of our winter wonderland, Huntingdon Christmas Market has the answer!

For those with sensory needs, they will also be holding a Quiet Hour between 10 AM - 11 AM on Saturday, 23rd November, and Sunday, 24th November. To make this event more accessible for those with sensory issues, there will be no stage entertainment or music playing from 10 AM - 11 AM. Traders will still be open as usual, to allow everyone to enjoy the festive market.

And for families coming along, the free elf workshop will be offering a free craft activity and every child can meet with Father Christmas or a fairytale princess. There is a full lineup of entertainment over the weekend, with the focus on local schools, choirs, and community groups. There will also be free face painting and balloon modeling.

And don’t miss out on the fantastic Christmas Lights Switch On, at 6:30pm on Friday 22nd November where the Mayor of Huntingdon Cllr Karl Brockett, will welcome his festive friends and our special guest, local gold medal winning gymnast Sol Scott, to join him as we light up Huntingdon’s Christmas Lights.
