Richard Ashcroft takes to Newmarket Nights in 2025

Ahead of joining the mighty Oasis on their long-awaited reunion stadium tour, Newmarket Racecourses is delighted to welcome RICHARD ASHCROFT on Friday 27th June 2025.

As the enigmatic frontman of rock band The Verve, Ashcroft carved a reputation as one of the most recognisable performers of the ‘90s. The group’s breakthrough album “Urban Hymns” spawned hit singles “Lucky Man,” “The Drugs Don’t Work” and “Bitter Sweet Symphony”, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. The record remains one of the best-selling albums in UK history.

Solo, the two-time Ivor Novello winner has released five Top 5 solo albums, including the #1 debut “Alone With Everybody”. His most recent album, “Acoustic Hymns”, revisits his classics with stripped-back brilliance and reached #2 in the UK Album Chart.

The concerts stage some of the nation’s biggest music talents for a full headline set after racing, with recent headliners including Bastille, Anne-Marie, Olly Murs, Busted and Becky Hill. In addition to world-class live music and an electric evening at the races, the events provide a selection of culinary delights for all, ranging from street food to Newmarket’s array of exceptional restaurants.

Tickets for RICHARD ASHCROFT at Newmarket Racecourses will be on sale at 10am on Friday 6th December via thejockeyclublive.co.uk with a presale available to customers at 10am on Wednesday 4th December.
