The attraction's celebrating a special birthday this weekend.
The miniature railway opened in 1964 by Lord Sainsbury due to his passion for steam trains.
He launched the railway to provide entertainment for visitors at Audley End House next door.
Since then, thousands of people have enjoyed visiting the attraction.
To mark Father's Day weekend, the railway is welcoming visitors to commemorate the occasion.
Visitors can:
- Enjoy a train ride.
- Visit fairy & elf’s in their woodland homes, and marvel at the world in the sensory nature corner.
- Little ones can let off steam in an adventure playground.
- The woodland cafe has hot and cold food available.
- Summer Games on the Picnic Field.
- Live Music on the Sunday.
- Guests can enjoy a ride on a classic Carousel.
The Honourable Amanda Murray who runs Audley End Miniature Railway, and eldest daughter of Lord Braybrooke, said:
"As we celebrate this enormous milestone the railway will connect our heritage with the future of our attraction.
Our anniversary celebration across Father’s Day will welcome Father’s to come for free and families to enjoy a traditional British day out".
