Appeal after serious collision in Cambridge

The collision in Cambridge left a motorcyclist in a serious condition in hospital.

The crash happened in Madingley Road at about 10.30am on Wednesday (21 June) and involved a white Volkswagen Crafter and a blue Honda CBR motorcycle.

Officers and paramedics attended and a man in his 30s, who was riding the motorcycle, was taken to hospital in a serious condition, where he remains.

A 44-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop. He remains in custody at Parkside Police Station.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, believes they saw the vehicles before, or has dash cam footage that could assist the investigation, is urged to contact police online quoting reference 195 of 21 June, or call 101 if you do not have internet access. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
