Residents in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire are being reminded that bin collections will be later than usual next week, following the bank holiday weekend.
Collections by the shared South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council waste team during the week beginning Monday 28 August are scheduled to take place one day later than normal. The Friday 1 September collections will be moved to Saturday 2 September. Collections return to the regular pattern on Monday 4 September.
While enjoying a longer weekend and late summer barbeques, residents are also being reminded to recycle as much as possible using their wheelie bins, as well as by utilising local recycling points and the household recycling centres in Milton and Thriplow.
In addition, items in good condition can of course either be sold or donated to charity.
Both Councils provide in-depth information about disposing of waste in the best manner on their websites.
