At 7.21am on Monday (13) crews were called to a fire on Winship Road in Milton.
Crews Cambridge, Burwell, Huntingdon and Newmarket in Suffolk attended the fire.
Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in a factory building, measuring around 16 metres by 25 metres. Wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and covering jet cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Three employees were in the building when the fire started and safely evacuated before crews arrived. One male casualty was treated for smoke inhalation.
The crews returned to their stations by 10.45am.
Station Commander Danny Kelly said: “The fire was minimised due to the swift actions of the initial crews who did a fantastic job stopping the fire from spreading.”
The cause of the fire was accidental.
