Cambridge’s city centre Christmas Lights Switch On's being called off for a second year running due to coronavirus safety concerns
Cambridge BID say the decision’s been taken following the announcement that the city’s moving to an Enhanced Response Area, with Covid-19 cases on the rise.
Instead it’ll become a virtual event on air and online with Star Radio, on its original planned date of Sunday the 21st of November.
Becky Burrell, Marketing & Commercial Manager at Cambridge BID says "It is with sadness that Cambridge BID announce the cancellation of the Christmas Lights Switch On events due to take place on Thursday18th November (Cambridge Train Station) and Sunday 21st November at Market Square. We will be working with Star Radio to ensure that all of the magic will still happen on air and online."
