A drug dealer who stashed cocaine in his pants has been jailed for two years.
Giuseppe D'Angelo, 25, was spotted by officers driving erratically and completing a circuit of Upper Cambourne on 25 April.
When he was stopped in High Street they noticed a large quantity of cash in the driver’s door, which prompted a more detailed search.
D’Angelo was arrested and taken to Cambourne Police Station. When he was searched officers found ten wraps of white powder hidden in his underwear. Further analysis of the powder confirmed it was cocaine worth up to £500.
D'Angelo, of Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge, later admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and acquiring criminal property.
On Friday (25 June) at Cambridge Crown Court he was jailed for two years.
PC Beccy Halls said: “Substance misuse and addiction have horrendous consequences for people and a wider impact on society.
“By dealing class A drugs D’Angelo was part of this problem, so I’m pleased he has now been jailed.
“We’re working hard to bring drug dealers before the courts as part of ongoing efforts to protect vulnerable people and make our communities safer for everyone.”
