A city Pizza Hut is amongst the list of restaurants which are closing following restructuring plans announced earlier this week.
29 of its 245 outlets are shutting, placing 450 jobs at risk, equating to around ten percent of its workforce.
Rival Pizza Express recently secured approval for the closure of 73 of its own sites, hitting 1100 staff.
In Cambridge, the Regent Street Pizza Hut restaurant is due to close with the loss of around 20 jobs.
Other branches in the city at Cambridge Retail Market in Newmarket Road and the Pizza Hut Delivery outlet in Mill Road are unaffected by the announcement.
