Cambridge United have signed Connor O'Riordan on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old centre-back arrives at the Abbey from Blackburn Rovers, having come up through the Crewe Alexandra Academy, and penning his first professional contract in June 2022.
Following an impressive loan spell at Raith Rovers, the Championship came calling and Blackburn signed the defender in January on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
He now joins the U's as Garry Monk’s ninth signing of the summer window, and will wear the number 29.
Cambridge United head coach, Garry Monk:
"Connor is a very talented young defender and we are really happy to have secured his services.
"He adds another dimension to our defensive options and will provide fantastic competition to the squad.
"I am looking forward to working with him this season and seeing him make an impact on the team."
