Cambridge United have announced the signing of striker Ryan Loft from Port Vale.

The 26-year-old joins the U's for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal, with a club option on a fourth-year.

After coming through the Tottenham Hotspur Academy as a youngster, Loft has spent time at Leicester City, Scunthorpe United, Bristol Rovers and Port Vale.

He has said he is "over the moon" to be a part of the setup at Cambridge United and he goes into the 2024/25 season "motivated" to repay the club's faith.

Cambridge United Head Coach Garry Monk:

"Ryan is a very talented player who has all the right attributes to be a successful striker in this league.

"He also has a fantastic attitude, and we believe that we can help get the best out of his talents and that he can enjoy a really successful time with us.

"I am delighted that we have been able to bring him into the Club and I look forward to working closely with him over the next season and beyond."
