Cambridgeshire households told to prepare for flooding

Photo: Environment Agency warns of flooding

Heavy rainfall has led to flood alerts being issued across Cambridgeshire.

The Environment Agency has issued a warning for the Stour Brook between Haverhill and Sturmer which means flooding is "expected" and residents have been told to take action.

Two flood alerts have also been issued for Newmarket and Cottenham Lode which means flooding is "possible" and locals should be prepared.

It follows a 30-hour weather warning from the Met Office which is set to end on Thursday 23 May 2024.
