Ever tried to eat doughnuts without licking your lips, or take on a sponsored challenge wearing food-themed fancy dress?
A children’s charity is encouraging supporters to get creative in raising money and awareness as it launches a brand new campaign – Eat for EACH.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) wants people to hold cake sales, bake off-style competitions, garden parties, Come Dine With Me soirées and more as it looks to raise funds for its vital care and support service.
EACH has fundraising packs available to help make events as successful as possible. They include bunting, invites, balloons and posters, and can be obtained by visiting www.each.org.uk/eatforeach.
Alternatively, the good cause wants people to dress up as food and rattle a collection bucket – like its fundraisers pictured – or take on a sponsored challenge.
Natasha Brame, EACH Community Fundraiser, said: “Eat for EACH is a fantastic campaign that everyone can get involved in - and who doesn’t love an excuse to eat cake? We can’t wait to see what people get up to and challenge you all to be as creative as possible.”
EACH cares for over 360 children and young people with life-threatening conditions across the region, and supports over 450 family members, offering the best in the worst possible situation. It needs to raise almost £6 million a year to sustain its service.
