A consultation has opened on plans to build a crossing on the A10 at Ely.
The A10 is the main road connecting Ely and Witchford, providing connections to the Lancaster Way Business Park and wider destinations along the A142.
Councillors said the project provides an opportunity to "make significant improvements" to road safety and encourage walking, wheeling and cycling.
The proposals include two bridge options and one signal crossing option, each with different design features, benefits and costs.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is funding the project and Cambridgeshire County Council is responsible for delivering the scheme.
Drop-in events and online webinars have been organised through February, as well as an exhibition at Ely library, and the consultation closes on Wednesday 5 March 2025.
