Darren Kibukamusoke had just served eight years in prison for rape.
The 37-year-old, previously known as Jordan Aston-Carter, visited the victim at her Cambridge home with a small group of friends on 7 June 2018.
They had never met before.
Minutes after the group left the house, Kibukamusoke returned, took his T-shirt off and walked over to where the victim was sitting.
He told her he wanted to give her some drugs, but when she no, he erupted.
Kibukamusoke punched her several times, knocking out one of her teeth, and threatened to kill her.
He then subjected her to a serious sexual assault.
Detective Sergeant John Bimson from Cambridgeshire Police:
"This was an horrific case where a violent man invaded the victim’s home to carry out the most brutal sexual attack.
"Kibukamusoke is a danger to women and society.
"I would like to pay tribute to the victim for her bravery, and I hope this sentence will help give her some closure after such an horrific ordeal."
The day after the attack, Kimbukamusoke turned up at her home again, but fled when she set off her panic alarm and told him the police were involved.
Nine days later, returned to jail for breaching his licence.
On 1 November 2023, Kimbukamusoke was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and put on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
