Cambridgeshire County Council has acknowledged it "fell far short" after deaths on the Guided Busway.

The authority has pleaded guilty to health and safety offences following the deaths of three people on the Guided Busway between 2015 and 2021 - Jennifer Taylor, Steven Moir, and Kathleen Pitts.

Legal proceedings against Cambridgeshire County Council by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) began in May 2024.

In a statement published on Monday 2 September 2024, the council said it "fell far short" of meeting health and safety standards, and insisted lessons had been learned from these "historic failures".
