A crew from Cambridge helped release a Muntjac deer that was stuck in security railings on a business estate in Ditton Walk.
Firefighters used a specialist piece of equipment known as a spreader to widen the railings and release the deer.
Watch Commander Richard Powell said: “The deer was making a lot of noise when we arrived because it was distressed so we used a hand pump to work the spreaders so there wasn’t the noise of the generator.”
The deer ran off once released.
