A drink driver has been banned after a crash on the M11 over the Christmas period.
Nur-Al Jenna Gramy-Mason, 22, was driving a Seat Ibiza which was involved in a three-vehicle collision on the southbound M11 at Madingley, near Cambridge, at about 12.30pm on Sunday 29 December 2024.
Officers breathalysed her and she blew 62 at the roadside before providing another sample of breath at the police station of 47, the legal limit being 35.
In court, it was said Gramy-Mason had been drinking at a party the night before and didn’t anticipate she would still be over the legal limit the following day.
On Thursday 2 January 2024, at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court, Gramy-Mason, of Merton Road in Histon, was banned from driving for 12 months, having pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle above the legal limit.
She was also fined £480, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £192 surcharge.
The ban will be reduced if a drink drive awareness course is successfully completed.
