Officers from the Neighbourhood Support Team stopped Sokol Gkino in Milton Road, Cambridge on 12 July last year (2021) after suspecting he was dealing drugs.
They found eight bags of white powder which turned out to be cocaine hidden in his waistband.
The 25-year-old, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was sentenced to a year and eight months in prison at Peterborough Crown Court on Monday (25 January).
PC Luke Upcott, from the Neighbourhood Support Team, said: “I hope this sentence sends a message that we will not tolerate drug dealing in our county.”
