Ely Plays Host To Eisenhower Jeep Sale

A military Jeep given to Dwight D Eisenhower in recognition of his leadership during the D-Day landings could reach 150-thousand pounds.

He oversaw the successful Allied assault on the coast of Normandy in June 1944 and the liberation of western Europe.

The Jeep has just 33-thousand miles on the clock and is in full working order.

The Jeep is being auctioned by at a sale at Cheffins' Machinery Salesground in Sutton near Ely on 18th April.
