First ever electric train unveiled at Audley End

Audley End Miniature Railway has unveiled its first electric locomotive in time for summer.

"Electra" is the first electric narrow gauge engine in the country, and follows months of planning and construction from the team at Audley End and engineers in Leeds.

The blue, double-ended loco will be pulling passengers through the beautiful Audley End woodland during the summer holidays, and staff there say they are delighted with the result.
