The first red post box with the cypher of King Charles III has been installed in Cambourne.
The iconic round pillar box was unveiled by schoolchildren from the Vine Inter-Church Primary on the High Street in Great Cambourne on Friday July 12 2024.
The youngsters, with the help of Lord Lieutenant Julie Spence, posted the first letters into the box – handwritten notes addressed to the King.
The latest unveiling continues a tradition of stamping red post boxes with a royal cypher, dating back around 170 years to the reign of Queen Victoria.
