Cambridge United forward Elias Kachunga is staying at Cambridge United.

He joined the U’s last summer on an initial one-year deal and has now put pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract to extend his stay with the club.

The 32-year-old has said he is "delighted" to sign a new contract at the Abbey Stadium.

The U's secured League One football for the 2024/25 season with a 0-0 draw at Port Vale on the final day of the last campaign.

Cambridge United Head Coach Garry Monk:

"Elias was a key member of the squad last season and I am delighted that he has chosen to stay with us for another season.

"His experience and quality as a footballer and his personality are invaluable assets - I look forward to working with him again in 2024/25."
