At 3.37pm on Tuesday (18) two crews from Cambridge, along with one crew from Haverhill and one crew from Newmarket in Suffolk, were called to a fire on High Street in Balsham.
Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in the roof of a two storey house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The crews returned to their stations by 6.10pm.
