Inspectors have said a major field fire at Godmanchester was an accident.
At 3.49pm on Monday 12 August 2024, fire crews were called to a field fire, involving approximately 120 acres, on the A1307 at Godmanchester.
Over 20 firefighters attended, including crews from Huntingdon, Cambridge and St Neots, along with the south roaming fire engine and Newmarket’s water carrier.
The crews brought the blaze under control and returned to their stations by 8.15pm; the cause of the fire was accidental.
