A 32-year-old man has been jailed after running at another man with two knives while threatening to kill him.
Billy Parlour of York Way, Thetford, was seen fighting with the man in Saffron Close, Littleport, at about 1400 on May 6th 2023.
The victim tried to reason with Parlour, who still had both knives in his hands and was shouting.
As the brawl continued, Parlour threatened to break the victim's nose. Officers then arrived on the scene and swiftly arrested Parlour.
On August 9th, Parlour was jailed for a year and one month, having pleaded guilty to two counts of threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
He also pleaded guilty to a count of theft after he stole beer from the Co-op in Littleport on April 13.
DC Lauren Clarke said:
“Tackling knife crime is a force priority so we will always seek to bring people who threaten people with knives to justice.
“Parlour’s behaviour that day was appalling and dangerous so I am pleased he has faced justice.”
