Labour keeps control of Cambridge City Council

Labour remains in control of Cambridge City Council after the 2024 local elections.

14 of the city council's 42 seats were up for election on 2 May 2024, when 37.8 per cent of eligible voters in Cambridge turned out.

Labour held of all theirs including wards in Arbury, Cherry Hinton and Romsey, while the Liberal Democrats faced the only loss of the day, losing Newnham to the Green Party.

Following the election results, Labour have 25 councillors, the Liberal Democrats have 10, the Green Party have 5, and 1 Conservative and 1 independent councillor remain.
