There are just days remaining until East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) brings another splash of colour to Ely.
EACH has been hosting its Colour Dash series across the region since 2014 and is bringing it to Ely for the third consecutive year this weekend.
The event is being staged 11am on Saturday (11 August) at King’s Ely, where excited participants will run five kilometres (3.1 miles) whilst being showered with clouds of coloured powder paint.
Polly West, EACH Cambridgeshire Community Fundraiser, said: “Anyone who’s taken part in one of our Colour Dashes before will know what an impressive sight and great fun for all the family they are. We’re delighted to be returning to Ely, where we’ve always received such fantastic support, and tickets will be available on the day.
“There’s no competitive aspect, so you can run, jog or walk the course – just be prepared to get covered in coloured powder paint. It creates truly impressive, multi-coloured results!”
EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia, and supports their families. For both families accessing care and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time. It has to generate more than £6 million a year from fundraising and money raised at the Ely Colour Dash, supported by Star Radio, will help.
