Liberal Democrats and Labour celebrate gains in Cambridgeshire

The Lib Dems have gained three seats and Labour have gained two in Cambridgeshire.

Following the General Election on 4 July 2024, the Liberal Democrats have taken South Cambridgeshire and Ely and East Cambridgeshire from the Conservatives, and have also won the new constituency of St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire.

Labour have held Cambridge and gained Peterborough and North West Cambridgeshire from the Tories.

The Conservatives have retained Huntingdon and North East Cambridgeshire and remain in power in areas around Newmarket, Haverhill and Saffron Walden.
