A local lad has stepped in save The Plough pub in Great Chesterford.
The Plough is a huge, grade-II listed Greene King pub in the village of Great Chesterford, near Saffron Walden, and with it's future in doubt earlier this year, local lad Rory Cormack decided to step in.
Rory told Star Radio he has no prior experience of running a pub, but he could not bear to see the site shut down, and wanted to create a new hub for the community.
A special reopening gala is planned on Friday 6 September 2024, with live music, family activities, and pub grub.
