A man from Ely has said he made up rape allegations because he was "lonely".
Darren Moore reported 14 rape or sexual assault claims against men to police between June and November 2022.
Officers have said he consistently gave false information during interviews and forensic medical examinations.
Several of the alleged suspects were interviewed under caution.
However, further investigation found the 55-year-old's vague and contradictory allegations were not plausible.
Detective Inspector Mike Minett:
"Making false allegations in this way is despicable and has a huge impact on the people who are accused.
"One of the victims has been left feeling suicidal, has panic attacks and struggles to sleep.
"Another told how he has lost all trust in other people.
"I hope this case brings all of Moore’s victims some level of closure and allows them to move on."
On 10 November 2022, the 55-year-old, from Douglas Court - admitted the 14 claims were all false.
In police interview, he told officers he had fabricated the allegations because he was lonely.
Moore admitted to five counts of perverting the course of justice at Cambridge Crown Court in February.
On Thursday 11 April 2024, he was sentenced to three years in prison.
