A man who threatened a dog walker with a knife and punched two of his teeth out has been jailed.
Arran Brown got into an altercation with the man in Bascraft Way on 23 October 2024.
The 32-year-old threatened to kill the victim’s dog before punching the man in the face and pulling out a Stanley knife.
Shortly before the attack, Brown had stolen £75 worth of food, including five gammon joints and two steaks, from the Co-op on in Ermine Street.
Brown, from Stirling Square in Godmanchester, pleaded guilty to theft, actual bodily harm, possession of cannabis and possession of a knife in public and was jailed for two years and one month at Peterborough Crown Court on Friday 17 January 2025.
Brown also admitted driving whilst disqualified and dangerous driving in relation to an attempt to evade police in Cambridge on 12 June 2023, when he drove at speeds of more than 60mph in 20mph zones.
He received a further disqualification from driving for four years and nine months.
DC Kieran Wickens, Cambridgeshire Police:
"Brown clearly has no regard for the law, and his anti-social, violent and dangerous actions will not be tolerated.
"This sentence reflects how seriously police, and the courts take this type of behaviour."
