Neil Harris has quit Cambridge United after just fourteen matches.
The move follows an official approach from struggling Championship side Millwall, where the 46-year-old has enjoyed successful spells as a player and manager.
Cambridge United has said contractual compensation has been paid.
Assistant Head Coach Barry Corr, supported by Kevin Betsy, will take charge ahead of Saturday’s match against Peterborough United.
Harris arrived at the Abbey in December 2023, and led the U's to five wins.
