A new Cambridge life science campus will create around 1,000 jobs developers have said.

Plans to redevelop the Westbrook Centre and "reinvigorate an underused site" off Milton Road were approved by Cambridge City Council on Wednesday 24 July 2024.

Four 1980s office blocks will be demolished and replaced with three new life science buildings, as well as a cafe and new children’s play area.

People living in the area had raised objections, branding the size of the proposed buildings "unacceptable" and sparking concerns about "significant disruption" during construction.
