A manhunt is underway following an attempted armed robbery in Fenstanton.
A man entered the Post Office on Rookery Place, armed with what appeared to be a handgun, at just before 9pm on Thursday 12 September 2024.
The man pointed the weapon at the cashier behind the counter, and then towards the till, and signalled for her to empty it.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, managed to shut the till and run to the back of the premises, and no items were taken.
Detective Sergeant James Rabbett, Cambridgeshire Police:
"This was an extremely frightening experience for the victim and I’m keen to hear from anyone who has information or dashcam or doorbell footage from the area between 8pm and 10pm on Thursday evening."
Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
