84-year-old Robin Haines was reported missing on Friday.
Cambridgeshire Police were alerted after he failed to return to his home in Little Shelford.
The body was discovered at Jesus Lock on the River Cam in Cambridge at 11.30am on Monday 6 May 2024.
Formal identification is yet to take place but Mr Haines’ family have been informed and they have expressed their gratitude for the support from people on social media.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the case will be passed to the coroner.
