Engineering works over Christmas and New Year will lead to cancellations.

There are planned essential engineering works and upgrades taking place over the festive period.

Greater Anglia has issued travel advice to passengers, urging customers to check before they travel and plan ahead.

Train services between Cambridge and London will be heavily affected by major engineering work from Christmas Day to New Years Day.

There will be significant alterations to Greater Anglia services on these routes, with bus replacement services involved for journeys between some stations.

Norwich to Cambridge and Ipswich to Cambridge services will also be affected by major engineering in the Cambridge area on 27 and 28 December.

Engineering work is also expected to disrupt rail services on the East Coast Main Line on Christmas Eve.

Services between London and Peterborough will be impacted, with no LNER, Lumo, or Hull Trains services to or from London King's Cross station.

Grand Central will also not operate, with replacement buses running between St Neots and Bedford.
