Sheep's Green in Cambridge has become an official bathing site.
The wild swimming spot on the River Cam is one of 27 new bathing locations named by the government ahead of the summer months, which means there are now over 450 across England.
Sheep's Green has had issues with sewage in the past, and swimmers are hoping the official title will trigger action to clean-up the river.
The Environment Agency says it will continue to monitor the water quality at the site.
