Crews from Whittlesey, Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a road traffic collision on the A47 Eastbound at Thorney involving two lorries.
Firefighters using specialist cutting equipment extricated one of the drivers trapped in a lorry.
Station Commander Ady Slack said: “Fortunately nobody was seriously injured in the incident. The driver who was extricated from the lorry escaped with only slight injuries.”
The dual carriageway was closed for about an hour-and-a-half in one direction.
Firefighters returned to their station by 10.34am.
