Crews from St Neots and Huntingdon were called to a road traffic collision after an HGV container lorry overturned at the roundabout at Brampton Hut on the A14 westbound.
Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to extricate a male casualty from the HGV.
Crews used absorbent granules to cover a leak of around 100 litres of diesel and also dammed the drains.
The road was closed for about an hour and firefighters returned to their stations by 4.44am.
