Trains between Cambridge and London have been severely disrupted following a cable theft.
On Thursday 20 February 2025, rail operator Greater Anglia announced thieves in the Hackney Downs area had stolen signalling cables, leaving some lines unable to run.
Many services faced cancellations and delays, and passengers between London Liverpool Street and Cambridge were urged not to travel.
As a result of working overnight to make repairs, Network Rail said planned engineering works between Tottenham Hale and Cheshunt were not completed.
