Six men taken to hospital after police pursuit

Six men have been taken to hospital after a police pursuit, which started in Norfolk and resulted in a road collision at Six Mile Bottom in Cambridgeshire.

Norfolk Police were called around 9.25pm last night (Wednesday 25 April) following reports of a burglary at an address in Cavell Road in Norwich where the suspect(s) fled from the scene in a black Mercedes C200. 

Officers located the suspected vehicle on the A11 heading southbound towards Suffolk. A pursuit continued towards Newmarket, westbound on the A14. 

The car subsequently crashed at the junction of the A1304 and A11 at Six Mile Bottom at about 10.35pm. 

No other vehicle was involved in the collision.

Six men were taken to hospital with five of those arrested at the scene. Two of the men are currently in Addenbrookes Hospital with serious injuries, two men were taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with serious injuries whilst two other men have since been released from hospital and have now been taken into custody.
