"Sudden death" of a man in Melbourn not being treated as suspicious

The body of a 58-year-old man was found in a parked car on Royston Road.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene at 9.15am on Thursday 7 December 2023.

They found a red Honda CR-V SR had pulled over onto the side of the road.

The driver, a 58-year-old man from Melbourn, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said "This was a very sad incident and I would like to hear from witnesses and anyone with dashcams who may have passed the Honda."

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is being urged to report it through the Cambridgeshire Police website using reference CC-07122023-0095.
