Theft of coffee caravan

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft of a caravan from the area of Great Ashfield in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident took place at some point between Friday 7 July at 2pm and Tuesday 11 July at midday.

At some point over the given period  unknown offenders have stolen a Lunar Conquest 524 caravan worth around £12,000 from a storage area on a farm.

Sgt Kelvin Wenden from Stowmarket police said: "The caravan is a valuable and important resource for the community in that it is used as touring facility to serve coffee and give advice to remote communities and elderly people. Without this caravan an important link for local people is lost so anyone who knows of its whereabouts should get in touch with us. It has a strapline on the side of the caravan saying 'Making a difference to rural communities throughout Suffolk' so it is very distinctive."

If you saw the caravan being taken or have any information about where it is now, please contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting crime reference 37/47805/17.
