The family of Emma Stearn said she was a "beautiful soul" with a "love for life".

The 36-year-old, from Alconbury, was walking along Longthorpe Parkway in Peterborough when she was hit by a car.

It happened around 7.30pm on Friday 9 February 2024.

She was taken to hospital but later died of her injuries.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old woman from Peterborough, is assisting police with their enquiries.

Emma’s family have made this statement:

"Emma had a beautiful soul and a love for life.

"Her smile shined and she was compassionate to others.

"Emma was a credit to herself and loved her children very much.

"The family would like time to process the tragic loss of Emma at this time."

Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash, or the moments before or after, is being urged to contact Cambridgeshire Police.
