The annual Burwell Carnival returns for the last weekend of June.
The event, which last year brought 3,500 people to Burwell recreation ground, will be on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 2024.
The carnival is free for all and raises money for community groups across the village.
Visitors can enjoy fairground rides, inflatables, entertainment from bands and dance groups, craft stalls and food vendors.
What to expect at the Burwell Carnival 2024:
- On Friday, there will be a pet show and silent disco starting from 5.00pm. The carnival bar will be selling real ale from Burwell Brewery & cider from Spinney Abbey, lager and Pimms by the jug/glasses, along with wine, prosecco, spirits & soft drinks. The Burwell Belles and a choice of food vendors will be providing food, drinks & refreshments, alongisde a range of craft and community stalls.
- On Saturday, there is a parade from 1.00pm, making it's way from the top of The Causeway, down Hythe Lane and onto the stage at the recreation ground. There will also be live music and performers through the afternoon and evening until after 10.00pm, with the High Rollers and Diggin' for Diamonds headlining, supported by The Riffugees, a 4 piece Classic, Blues and Southern Rock covers band.
