What to know ahead of the Cambridge Beer Festival

Credit: Cambridge Beer Festival.

The festival marks its 50th birthday with some beers brewed specially.

It returns to Cambridge's Jesus Green with over 200 British real ales from 100+ breweries and 80 ciders and perries from near and far, along with the international bar, mead and wine.

Cambridge CAMRA's cheese counter will be in its usual spot as well, with cheese from around Britain accompanied by pork pies, scotch eggs, olives, breads and more.

The event also supports local charities. In 2023 over £15,000 was raised for East Anglian Children's Hospice's (EACH).

This year's charity beneficiary is the Cambridge Women's Resource Centre.

Anthony Mobbs, Festival Organiser said:

"Once again, we're looking forward to welcoming everyone to Jesus Green and our fantastic range of beers, ciders, mead and wine".

Last year we had around 38,000 people attend, and we're hopeful the weather will hold up next week.

However, even if it doesn't, our massive marquees make sure that the beer is still available for all to enjoy".

Entry is free from 12pm to 3pm, Tuesday to Friday and £5 from 5pm to 10:30pm Monday to Friday.

Saturday is only £4 with the event open longer from midday to 10:30pm.
