What to know ahead of the Stilton Cheese Rolling Festival

Cheese rolling returns to the Cambridgeshire town of Stilton after seven years.

The Stilton Cheese Rolling Festival is taking place on Sunday 26 May.

The last event which was last held in 2017, saw crowds of over 3,000 watch people roll large blocks of round cheese through the town's streets.

It was cancelled due to the costs involved in planning and putting on the festival.

Organisers hope this year's event will be the best yet, with a whole raft of activities, live music and performances across seven fun-filled hours.

There's even the coveted 'Cheese Rolling Awards' for the top placed finishers.
